Selected columns to display in a query are very painful to move up and down the list. An easier method to change the order of the items would be helpful.
All items associated with the query improvements were put on hold. We needed to focus more resources on SNBI requirements. We will re-engage with the query pages in the future. The timeline is "long-term" in our thematic roadmap, but we are hoping to align this with SNBI requirements as well. Some of our work with the OData API could potentially add performance improvements to the querying. Much of the team supporting this query improvement will focus more on the Data Extract for JSON outputs in the short term. Moving this item back to future consideration.
What are thoughts if this was made into a drag and drop list? For example, look at admin/config/fields and pick any dropdown field. Go to field choices and you can drag and move fields anywhere in the displayed list.
I laboriously move items up or down. Sometimes it is easier to plan out my list and start from scratch. I would like a faster drag and drop like Adobe pdf combining operation.

Yes, a drag and drop like field choices would be great.
Yes, drag and drop would be ideal. Similar to your example or configuring filters.

Can't count the number of time I've just started over on a query to get the order right
