During hurricane events we have to print our coastal bridges (typically 3 counties) for team packets to rapidly mobilize to check for damage such as scour, etc. Right now, the team spends hours selecting individual inspections and printing one-by-one. Need a quick way to highlight a group of structures and just send latest inspection and photos to printer. Digital is NOT an assumed luxury as cell service, etc my be down.
This could pose some challenges. What specific information from batch report printing is needed? Accounting for scenarios such as:
Same form used in multiple report types
Config changes in form association to report types
Is this just the last approved report? What if that is maybe a damage report that does not have data needed?
The whole report? What about FC's that have hundreds of photos? Is that what's needed?
Would it make sense to do this in a filter or query? Is this a need for inspector who often do not have permission to query?
I do like the asset query reference where bulk results download provides a .zip file. Is that more feasible for large amounts of data that printing? Or are both required vs. "nice to have".
Yes, as a selection on the query Search Results, have a button for PDF reports, selecting that button would bring up the Report Section" form with the "Add Sections/PDF Attachments" button disabled. The reports could be run and packaged in the background and a download page opened or a link sent to the e-mail address of the user making the request.
I'll add to this, batch printing report sections, or a selection of report sections, would be helpful. For instance, batch printing the elemental data for 40 bridges and bunding in a zip file. Maybe similar to the asset file query, except for report sections, so that all can be download, or a selection can be downloaded? Or a number of reports could be selected and then the print pdf button be applicable for all those structures?
Batch printing is very important in Ohio.
